CLC CHILDREN's MINISTRY

ushering ministryThe CLC Children ministry is for children aged up to 12 years.

Sessions run on Sunday mornings after worship for ages 2 to 10yrs and crèche for under 2yrs. Ages 11 and 12 attend main service and have workshops arranged every other month.

  • To impact their lives with the word through teaching.
  • God fearing purpose filled children who have zeal for the house.
  • Personal relationship with God, baptised and Holy Ghost filled and prayerful.
  • Bold to face challenges in life in a positive manner as Christians.
  • Positive influence among their peers.
  • Able to make right chooses in life by instilling Godly  principles in their life as guidance.
  • Build relationship with teachers and have a lasting memory of children church.
  • Encourage them in the gifting and ministries in church.
  • Encourage them to be true worshipers.

Childrens MInistrySecurity

We treat security very seriously concerning your children. After service age 2 to 7yrs must be collect by parents/guardians from class.
We have a team of 17 workers who are CRB checked.

Registration

We are setting up a new system of registration and the first time a child joins us we require the child to be registered.

Classes

Classes are split into three

  • Crèche
  • Treasure Hut (2-4yrs)
  • Noah Ark (5-7yrs)
  • Diamonds (8-10yrs)

Childrens MInistryMin-Ministries

The following are other small groups within the ministry; warriors’ dancer, Jewels of praise choir, drama, summer play scheme.
Our children are also encouraged to be to join various ministries in the main church.

Play scheme

We run a summer play scheme for two weeks every August and accommodate children from the ages 4yrs to 12yrs.  This year will take place from 6th-17th August 2007. We hope to be out and about enjoying what we hope to be a lovely summer. This year we are hoping to go away on a residential trip to Frontier centre in Northamptonshire for the second week. The play scheme is opened for the whole community and the costs are kept as low as possible.

Christmas production

Every year during Christmas holidays the children put together a production and take over the last Sunday service before Christmas.

Family Day events

We hold three events in a year that incorporate the whole family.

  • Day Trip to the beach
  • Sports fun day August bank Holiday
  • Sunday service around Oct/Nov

Childrens MInistryYour children will be cared for and have a fun time in their class. We use games, arts and crafts, singing, drama and video to teach your children about God.  Your children will want to come to church.
