Between 11nd January – 22nd January 2008 Pastor Grady Reid visited the wonderful nation of Ghana.
His mission was threefold.
1. To attend the wedding of one of our church sister.
One of our faithful church sister – Linda Mensah, married a great man of God Francis Dadzie in Accra Ghana on the 13th January at the Assemblies of God church in Tema Ghana. The wedding was held on the Sunday to coincide with the regular morning service. With over a thousand people in attendance it proved to be a great time of rejoicing, beauty and colour. Pastor Grady preached on the subject, “Grace for Marriage”. This message encouraged the institution of message and brought a new insight on how we response to our spouse in relationship issues.
2. To review how our Faith co-operative Multipurpose Society was progressing.
On Tuesday 15th January Pastor Grady met with the board members of the faith co-operative Multipurpose society. We reviewed the progress of the society since its inception in 2005. The society continues to grow and thrive with over a thousand members making use of the society finances . There are now six full time staff members and the board has done a fine job in steering the society through some difficult times.
The society is now impacting small business people, helping poorer families, individuals and making a huge impact on the local community. CLC Oxford, will over the next months be making major financial investments in the society as we steer it towards - one day being a bank.
3. Pastor conducted three nights of meeting.
Pastor Grady conducted three nights 13th, 14th & 15th revival meetings. The ministration was very powerful and the church was healed and encouraged. The spirit of the brethren was strengthen and a new sense of purpose was restored. Host Pastor Owusus Rockfellow Sarfoh was a great host and this man’s faithfulness and commitment to the work of the Lord is truly exemplary.
4. Pastors & Leaders conference.
There was a two day pastor’s and leader’s conference, there was nearly 100 pastors & leaders in attendance gathering at 9:30 am in the morning. Their enthusiasm was great as pastor Grady spoke on, “Building your Team”, “Teamwork,” and “Recognising the Enemy”. These subjects greatly encouraged and bless the pastors and leaders. Before Pastor Grady had finished these meetings he was pencilled in for another conference in 2009.
Christian Life Centre in Oxford will continue to support the work in Ghana, spiritually, financially and materially. We pray God’s blessing upon all the people of Ghana and especially Takoradi.
